Over The Hill Walking Club - 25th Anniversary Party

 

The 25th Anniversary of the club was celebrated with a walk and BBQ at the Queens Arms pub, Leire. 

The food was delicious and musical entertainment was provided by local band The Nukes – one of the band members has walked with the club for many years. 

The OTH anniversary cake was a work of art as the photo shows.  We were especially pleased to welcome guests Sue Beardsmore and her daughter Sadie.  Sue’s partner, Martin Sellicks, who is sadly no longer with us, founded the club all those years ago.  Sue commented afterwards ‘We both really enjoyed the BBQ – it was a real bonus that so many old friends are still walking with OTH’.
